Brown Derby Cocktail

Banana Bread
Old Fashioned

Great any time of year but this is an innovative twist on the original. 2-3 oz of rye, 3/4 oz of banana liqueur, 3-4 dashes of walnut bitters.  Garnish with a slice of banana.

  • Bulleitt Rye* (or rye of your choice)

  • Banana liqueur

  • Walnut bitters

Add more or less banana liqueur depending on how much banana flavor you prefer. Serve in an old fashioned glass with a cube.

*We prefer rye because it stands up better to the banana, but bourbon works too!

Cherry Vanilla
Manhattan

We like this a little boozy. 3 oz of Rye, A cap full of vermouth, a teaspoon of cherry juice, about 7-10 dashes of bitters. Garnish with a cherry.

  • Bulleitt Rye (or rye of your choice)

  • Sweet Vermouth

  • Cherry Juice

  • Cherry Bark Vanilla  Bitters

Use good quality cherries such as Collins, Scale back on the Rye if you prefer a more flavor forward cocktail.  Shake over ice and serve in a martini glass.

Two tablespoons of syrup for those who like it sweeter.  Serve in an old fashioned glass with a cube.

If you like it a little heavier, substitute rye.

These go down smooth, Simple yet elegant.  Serve in a coupe. *We like this option because it is distilled with citrus. If you prefer juniper, use a more traditional gin.
